Description

Peptides have become the backbone of modern firming care. Short chains of amino acids are used in serums and creams to support a firmer, smoother look over time. IO Lifting Cream Active Liquid is a water-soluble liquid whose name places it in this category, with creams, serums and care cosmetics on its card.

Product data

Liquid, water-soluble. Applications from the card: creams, serums and care cosmetics. The exact INCI, composition, peptide content and recommended level are confirmed on the supplier CoA for each lot.

Working with peptides

Peptides are sensitive to high heat, extreme pH and some oxidizing ingredients. Add them during cool-down below 40 °C, keep the finished pH in a moderate range and avoid combining them in the same product with strong acids or high levels of vitamin C in its pure form.

Product formats

Firming serum

A daily serum with layered peptides.

Lifting cream

A day or night cream for mature skin.

Eye cream

A rich cream for the eye contour.

Neck cream

A firming cream for the neck and décolleté.

Formulating guidance

Add the active during cool-down into the water phase. Combine it with palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 or palmitoyl pentapeptide-4 for a multi-peptide story, and with low molecular weight hyaluronic acid for plumping hydration. More peptides and firming ingredients are listed under actives.

Claims

Use cosmetic wording such as firmer-looking, smoother, lifted-looking skin. Support numbers with elasticity measurements or panel tests after several weeks.

Who the products are for

Customers in their forties and older, those who want a gentle alternative to retinoids and anyone focused on firmness.

Multi-peptide serums

Combining several peptides with different documented actions is a popular strategy. Keep each at the supplier's recommended level and check compatibility.

Sensory design

Peptide serums should feel light and absorb quickly. Use a light polymer and avoid excess glycerin.

Testing

Run stability at room temperature, 40 °C and under light, checking pH, viscosity and appearance.

Packaging

Airless pumps and opaque bottles protect peptides from air and light.

Batch quality

Keep the CoA for each lot and store retained samples.

Range planning

A serum, a cream and an eye cream form a classic peptide trio.

Routine guidance

Use the serum morning and evening, followed by cream. In the morning, finish with sunscreen.

Original recipe: multi-peptide firming cream, 100 g

Phase A: water 68.00 g, glycerin 3.00 g, xanthan gum 0.20 g. Phase B: cetearyl olivate and sorbitan olivate 5.00 g, cetyl alcohol 1.50 g, squalane 6.00 g, caprylic/capric triglyceride 5.00 g, shea butter 2.00 g. Heat An and B to 75 °C, emulsify and cool. Phase C below 40 °C: IO Lifting Cream Active Liquid 4.00 g as an example level per CoA, palmitoyl tripeptide-1 and palmitoyl tetrapeptide-7 2.00 g, panthenol 1.00 g, preservative 1.00 g, tocopherol 0.30 g, lactic acid solution 1.00 g. Adjust pH to about 5.8.

Why mature skin loses firmness

With age, skin produces less of the structural proteins that keep it springy, and daily sun exposure speeds the process. Firming care aims to support the look of firmness through regular use, together with sunscreen. Explaining this simply on the product page helps customers stay with the routine long enough to judge it.

Neck and décolleté

The same active can go into a neck cream with a slightly richer texture. Suggest applying it with upward strokes after the face routine.

Preservation

Choose a preservative compatible with peptides and confirm it with a challenge test.

Storage

Keep the container closed, cool and away from light.
