Description
Exo-H in short
Exo-H is a liquid active for hydration-focused skin care. It dissolves in water and is added during cool-down. The supplier specification lists moisturizing creams and serums and describes the active as supporting the skin's own production of hyaluronic acid and other moisture-holding components. The name hints at an exosome-inspired or exo-cellular concept. Confirm the exact composition and full INCI on the certificate of analysis.
Two ways to hydrate
Humectants such as glycerin and hyaluronic acid hold water on and in the upper skin layers. Their effect is immediate but fades as the product wears off. A second approach supports the skin's own moisture system, including the hyaluronic acid naturally present in the skin. That approach aims for hydration that lasts longer and builds with regular use. Exo-H is positioned on that second side and works well together with classic humectants.
Formats
Hydrating serums
A light serum is the most direct format and layers under any cream.
Moisturizing creams
Day and night creams carry the active in the water phase for long-lasting hydration.
Masks and essences
Hydrating sheet masks and essences can use the active for a moisture boost.
How to use it
Add Exo-H to the water phase below 40 °C and stir until uniform. In emulsions, add it after cooling. Keep the final pH in a skin-friendly range and follow the dose in the technical sheet.
Partners
A complete hydration concept combines immediate and long-lasting moisture. High molecular weight hyaluronic acid gives an instant plumping film, and Hydagen Aquaporin adds another moisture-system story. More hydration concentrates are listed in the actives catalog.

Long-lasting hydration serum recipe, 100 g
Distilled water 83.20 g, Exo-H 4.00 g, glycerin 4.00 g, propanediol 3.00 g, sodium hyaluronate 0.30 g, betaine 2.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 0.80 g, panthenol 1.00 g, phenoxyethanol and ethylhexylglycerin 1.00 g, sodium citrate solution 0.70 g. Hydrate the cellulose in water, dissolve the hyaluronate, betaine and panthenol, add glycerin and propanediol, then add Exo-H and the preservative below 40 °C and adjust the pH to about 5.5.
Measuring long-lasting hydration
To support a long-lasting claim, measure skin moisture not only right after application but also several hours later and after several weeks of use. Corneometer readings at baseline, after one hour, after eight hours and after four weeks show both the instant and the cumulative effect.
Exosome language
Exosome-inspired ingredients are a trend in skin care. If you use the term, make sure it matches the supplier documentation and the INCI. Do not describe the product as containing exosomes unless the CoA confirms it.
Dose guidance
Follow the dose in the technical sheet. In serums, use the full recommended level. In creams, the middle of the range is a good start.
Who needs it
Dry skin, skin in air-conditioned or heated rooms, mature skin and skin after travel all benefit from hydration that lasts. A serum with a long-lasting moisture message is a strong everyday product for these groups.
Texture matters for daily use
Hydration products are used every day, often twice. A light, non-sticky texture that absorbs quickly is essential. Keep glycerin moderate and use a gentle thickener so the serum glides on and disappears under makeup.
Storage
Store tightly closed in a cool place, away from heat and light.
