What Energisome Q10 is
Energisome Q10 is a liquid cosmetic ingredient built around coenzyme Q10 (ubiquinone), supplied in a water-dispersible form so that Q10 can be used in water-based serums and emulsions without a melting step. It is a raw material for topical cosmetic products. The exact composition and Q10 content are stated on the CoA for each lot.
More antioxidants sit in our cosmetic actives section; in light creams a fluid emollient like squalane oil keeps the texture soft.
Where it is used
The supplier specification lists face creams and care emulsions, serums for the skin around the eyes and creams for a less puffy-looking eye contour. Q10 is known in cosmetics as an antioxidant ingredient, and products with it are usually described as giving the skin a fresher, smoother and more radiant look.
How to work with it
Add Energisome Q10 to the water phase during cool-down, below about 40 °C, with gentle mixing. Avoid high shear and long heating. Keep the finished pH in a mild, skin-friendly range and preserve the formula well. Use the level given on the CoA.
Pairing ideas
For an eye-area serum, combine it with a light hyaluronic gel. For a face cream, it pairs well with panthenol and mixed tocopherols. For oil-based products, choose Coenzyme Q10 Liquid or Coenzyme Q10 Powder instead.
