Description
Powder form
Copper Peptide GHK-Cu Powder (SKU M10001) is the copper complex of the tripeptide GHK sold as a dry powder, not as a liquid concentrate. INCI: Copper Tripeptide-1. CAS 89030-95-5 (copper complex; free GHK is listed separately as 49557-75-7). Copper Tripeptide-1 powders are typically blue; it is used in leave-on serums and creams. Packs: 1 g, 5 g, 10 g and 50 g.
How to incorporate it
Dissolve the powder fully in part of the formula water at room temperature, then add the solution during cool-down below about 40 °C. Avoid prolonged high heat. Supplier technical data for GHK-Cu commonly gives a working pH of about 5–7; check the final pH of your formula and confirm it against the CoA. Keep it away from strong chelators, pure ascorbic acid, strong acids and reducing agents, which can pull copper out of the complex.
Use level and CoA
Supplier technical data sheets for Copper Tripeptide-1 powder give a typical use level of 0.01–0.1% of the powder in the finished formula. Because the dose is so low, suppliers suggest weighing it as a 1% stock solution in water first. Confirm purity, copper content and appearance on the CoA for your lot.
