Description
The complex in brief
The NMF polysaccharide complex is a clear liquid that dissolves in water. The supplier specification lists moisturizers, post-peel products, baby care cosmetics and hair cosmetics. As the name says, it combines two ideas: NMF, the water-binding substances found in the outer layer of skin, and polysaccharides, sugar-based molecules that give a smooth, cushiony feel. The supplier CoA confirms the INCI and level for each lot.
Gentle hydration
Products for sensitive moments need simple, comfortable ingredients. After a peel, skin can feel tight and dry, and parents want baby products that are mild and plain. A clear, water-soluble hydration complex fits both needs without adding scent or color.
Product formats
Moisturizers
Daily creams and gel creams carry the complex in the water phase for a soft, hydrated feel.
Post-peel products
After a salon or home peel, a soothing-feel gel or a light cream with the complex helps skin feel comfortable. Pair it with panthenol and a gentle base.
Baby care
Baby lotions and creams need short, mild formulas. The clear, water-soluble complex suits them. Follow the specific safety rules for products for young children.
Hair care
Conditioners and leave-in sprays use the complex for a softer, smoother feel.
Processing
Add the complex below 40 °C and stir until uniform. It is clear, so it suits transparent gels and toners as well as creams. Follow the CoA for the level.
Partners
Panthenol, allantoin and glycerin build a gentle base. Natural AHA fruit acids or Glycolic Peel G25 25% are the peel step this complex can follow. Other gentle hydration options appear in the actives catalog.
Testing
For baby products, run safety assessments suited to young children and test with care. For post-peel products, a panel after a mild peel can rate comfort. Check clarity and viscosity of gels over time.
Claims
Use gentle wording: skin that feels soft, hydrated and comfortable; a calm-feeling finish after a peel; hair that feels softer.
Pairing peel and aftercare
Salons that offer peels often sell an aftercare product for home use. A gel with this complex fits that role, and a short card explaining when to use it helps clients.
Family products
A fragrance-free lotion for babies and adults can use the same formula, which simplifies production and appeals to families who want one gentle product for everyone.
Characteristics
Form: clear liquid. Solubility: water. Listed uses: moisturizers, post-peel products, baby care cosmetics, hair cosmetics. INCI and level: supplier CoA.
Original recipe: post-peel comfort gel, 100 g
Distilled water 86.30 g, glycerin 3.00 g, NMF polysaccharide complex 5.00 g, hydroxyethylcellulose 1.20 g, panthenol 2.00 g, allantoin 0.20 g, betaine 1.00 g, preservative 1.00 g, citric acid solution to target pH 0.30 g. Hydrate the cellulose in water, then add the rest below 40 °C.
Clear products
Because the complex is clear, it suits transparent gels, toners and essences where cloudy ingredients would spoil the look. Clear packaging shows off the product and gives a clean, simple impression. Check clarity after stability tests, since some thickeners cloud slightly at low or high temperatures. A light blue or green tint, if used, should be tested for fading in light. Keep a retained sample of each batch in clear glass so changes over time are easy to spot.
Fragrance
For post-peel and baby products, leave out fragrance or keep it very low.
Record the lot number in your batch log so every production run can be traced back to its certificate of analysis. Retain a small sample of each lot for at least the shelf life of the finished product, since it makes later quality questions much easier to answer.
Storage
Store closed in a cool place away from light. Close the bottle after use.
