Description
This ingredient Vectorized at a glance
IO Clarifying Active Powder Vectorized is a powder supplied in a dispersible matrix. The card lists brightening and even-toning serums, creams and lotions, products for dark spots and post-blemish marks, body care for skin with age spots, care after peels and salon procedures, sunscreens and day creams for an even skin tone, and professional products. The word vectorized describes the delivery form: the active is held in a carrier matrix rather than sold as a pure powder. Check the INCI name, composition and recommended level on the supplier data sheet and CoA.
Why even tone matters to consumers
Uneven skin tone is one of the most common cosmetic concerns. Dark spots from sun exposure, marks left after blemishes and a generally dull complexion all push shoppers toward brightening products. Even-tone serums and creams are now a core category in most skin care ranges. Brands look for actives that are easy to formulate, gentle and compatible with daily sun care.
Product formats
Brightening serums
A light serum is the hero format for an even-tone range.
Creams and lotions
Day and night creams carry the active into a full routine.
Body care
The card lists body care for skin with age spots, such as hand creams and body lotions for the arms and décolleté.
Day creams with sun protection
The card lists sunscreens and day creams. Daily sun protection is essential for any even-tone routine, and SPF always depends on tested filters.
Professional care
Salon programs after peels use calming, brightening creams.
Processing
Disperse the matrix into the formula as the supplier data sheet directs. Many vectorized powders are added to the water phase or at cool-down with gentle stirring so the carrier stays intact. Avoid high-shear mixing for long periods after the powder is added unless the data sheet allows it. Check viscosity and appearance after a day.
Good partners
Niacinamide and vitamin C derivatives are classic even-tone partners. IO Brightening Antioxidant Active Liquid adds an antioxidant angle, and IO Hair Shine Active fits a radiance story. Browse more brightening actives in the actives catalog.
Testing
Measure skin tone with a colorimeter or image analysis over several weeks, and back the results with a consumer panel. Store samples in light and in the dark to check color stability.
Claims
Skin tone looks more even; dark spots look less visible; for a brighter, more radiant complexion.

The role of sun protection
No brightening routine works without daily sun protection, because sunlight keeps creating new dark spots. Pair an even-tone serum with a tested SPF day cream in the same range, and remind users in the directions to apply sunscreen every morning.
