The elastin-sequence lipopeptide

Biopeptide EL is a cosmetic solution of Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12, a palmitoylated version of the Val-Gly-Val-Ala-Pro-Gly sequence (Pal-VGVAPG), which repeats in elastin. It is used in firmness and elasticity leave-on products. CAS is Mixture for the solution, with Palmitoyl Hexapeptide-12 listed as 171263-26-6. Confirm the full vehicle INCI on the CoA.

Biopeptide EL and its companions

Peptide AM carries the same peptide with hyaluronic acid support. Biopeptide EL is the simpler solution, which lets you choose your own humectants. Its sister trade solution Biopeptide CL carries Palmitoyl Tripeptide-1, a collagen-story peptide, and the two are often used together for an "elastin plus collagen" serum.

Formulating with Biopeptide EL

Process

Add the solution during cool-down, below 40 °C, and mix until uniform. As a lipopeptide, it may give a faint haze in clear gels; a small amount of glycol or solubilizer can help.

Bases

Elasticity serums, neck creams, body firming lotions and eye creams are typical. In emulsions, add after cooling. Take the use level from the supplier documentation for your lot.

Lot handling and storage

Record appearance and pH on arrival, compare them with the CoA, and keep the CoA with your batch records so each finished batch can be traced to its lot. Store tightly closed, cool and away from light.

Body firming with Biopeptide EL

Elasticity stories extend naturally to body care: firming lotions for the arms, thighs and abdomen, and décolleté creams. Body products are used in larger amounts, so a light, fast-absorbing texture and a cost-conscious use level matter. Pair the peptide with glycerin and a light emollient blend, and keep claims to the look and feel of the skin.

Production note

As with other lipopeptides, add Biopeptide EL after cooling and after any homogenizer step, and rinse the weighing vessel with batch water so the full dose goes in.
