Description

The crow's feet at the outer corners of the eyes are often the first lines people notice in the mirror. Products that promise a smoother look in this area sell steadily in every market. IO Algae Complex Liquid is a liquid active whose card points directly at this need, together with mature skin, the neck and the décolleté.

Name and concept

Algo refers to algae, a classic source of cosmetic ingredients in European skincare. Jeunesse is the French word for youth. Together they describe an algae-based active positioned for appearance-focused cosmetic care. The precise algal source, INCI and active content are listed on the supplier CoA for each lot, and that document is the basis for labeling.

Applications listed on the card

Care of mature skin; products for the skin around the eyes, helping smooth the look of crow's feet; creams for the neck and décolleté; appearance-focused cosmetic cosmetics.

Eye contour creams

The thin skin at the eye corners needs light, quick-absorbing textures. A gel-cream with the active and a humectant base is a good format.

Neck and décolleté

These areas are often neglected in daily routines and show dryness, fine creases and an uneven look. A dedicated cream with a slightly richer feel creates a clear, giftable product.

Mature skin creams and serums

Day and night products for mature skin can carry the active alongside peptides and hydration ingredients.

Formulating guidance

The card lists solubility in water. Add the active to the water phase during cool-down, below about 40 °C, and stir until uniform. Check the pH of the finished product. In eye products, use an eye-safe preservative and leave out fragrance. Pair the active with a hydration base and, if you want an expression-line angle, with a peptide such as acetyl hexapeptide-8. For a second marine ingredient with a different texture, Fucus-gel is also available. Find more appearance-focused cosmetic concentrates in actives.

Communicating the benefit

Keep language visual and gentle: smoother-looking crow's feet, a more rested-looking eye area, softer and more even-looking neck skin. Support claims with tests on the finished product and realistic timing. Explain that regular use and daily sun protection both matter.

Marine identity in the range

Algae ingredients fit a clean, fresh visual identity: blue and green tones, simple packaging, short ingredient stories. A range that combines an eye cream, a neck cream and a face serum, each with the algae active, gives customers an easy routine to follow.

Batch quality

Record the lot number from the CoA, check color and odor on arrival and keep a retained sample. Run stability on the finished product at room temperature and at 40 °C for several weeks, checking pH, viscosity and appearance.

Texture choices for the eye area

Eye products are used on very thin skin and are often applied in the morning before concealer, so they must absorb quickly, leave no residue and not migrate into the eye. Light emulsions with a modest oil phase, low-tack humectants and a fine film-former work well. A metal roller tip adds a cooling sensation that customers associate with a fresher look, while a small airless pump protects the formula and gives an exact amount. Test under makeup to confirm there is no pilling.
